Cool roofing systems as defined by The City of Toronto Division of Environment and Energy are roofing systems that have a minimum SRI of 29 for steep slope roofs. Steep sloped roofs have a surface slope greater than 16.7% (9.5 degrees) and less than 41.7% (22.6 degrees).
