Plan the Roof Early

Bringing us in at the planning stage lets the roof and the rest of the build work together. A few things are worth deciding before framing:

Roof pitch. Our metal shingles are designed for roofs with a pitch of 4/12 or steeper. Lower-slope roofs are better suited to standing seam.
Solid roof deck. Our systems install directly on the roof deck, with no battens or strapping, for a stronger, more weathertight roof.
Ventilation. Planning attic ventilation alongside the roof helps it perform at its best.
Skylights and penetrations. Placing skylights, vents and chimneys early means cleaner flashing details.
Snow guards. Plan them over entrances, walkways and driveways where sliding snow could be a concern.
