Classic Products Roofing Systems Inc. (“Classic,” “we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, by phone, email and text, and when we visit your home. It also explains how we use that information and the choices you have. We follow Canada’s federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you ask for a quote, or call, text or email us, we collect what you share. This can include your name, address, phone number, email, how you prefer to be contacted and details about your roof and project.
Information we gather while serving you. When our salesperson visits, we may record measurements, roof details and photos of your home to prepare your quote. If you go ahead with a new roof, we keep your contract, installation and warranty records.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, cookies and similar tools record things like the pages you view, how you found our site, your device and browser type, and your general location (city or region). This information does not identify you by name.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- answer your questions and prepare your quote
- arrange visits, then schedule and complete your installation
- keep warranty and service records for your roof
- confirm or follow up on your request
- understand how people use our website and improve it
- measure and improve our advertising
We only use your information for these purposes, unless we ask for your consent or the law requires or allows it.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. We also use advertising tools from Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). These tools may use cookies or a tracking pixel to measure which ads lead to quote requests, and to show our ads to people who have visited our site.
These tools collect information about your visits, not your name. Google and Meta handle this information under their own privacy policies.
You can limit or turn off this tracking:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of our site may not work as well.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Manage Google ads in My Ad Center.
- Manage Facebook and Instagram ads in the ad preferences of your account.
- Opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at YourAdChoices.ca.
Who we share information with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only when needed to serve you:
- Service providers that help us run our business, such as our customer management system, email, website hosting, analytics and advertising tools. They may only use your information to provide their services to us.
- Installation partners. If you live outside our service area, we may pass your request to a trusted metal roofing partner near you so they can contact you.
- Financing. If you apply for financing, you apply directly with our financing provider, under its own privacy policy.
- When the law requires it, such as a court order.
Some of our service providers may store information outside Canada. There, it may be accessed under the laws of that country.
Emails and texts
We contact you about your quote or project by phone, email or text, based on how you asked to be contacted. We only send promotional emails with your consent. Every promotional email includes our contact information and an easy way to unsubscribe.
Keeping your information safe
Our website uses SSL encryption, and access to customer records is limited to the people who need it. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. This includes warranty records for as long as your warranty lasts, or as long as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Links to other websites
Our website links to other sites, such as our financing provider and product manufacturers. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
