Custom Paint Colour on Metal Roof

Metal roofing has a well-recognized track record for durability and distinctiveness. Classic Metal Roofing Systems has been manufacturing the world’s most beautiful metal roofs since 1980. Over the years, they have staked their claim to always be on the leading edge of metal roofing technology. With introductions such as PVDF finishes, “printcoat” finishes, and hI-R® Heat Barrier coatings, they have always manufactured the best metal roofs available.

The latest innovation ThermoBond, takes metal roofing into previously uncharted territories of naturally variated colouring. One concern with metal roofs is their very monochromatic appearance. ThermoBond breaks free of that limitation.

When you look at the ThermoBond coating under magnification, you see that it is comprised of small “chunks” of paint bonded tightly one to the next. This gives ThermoBond its unique slip-resistant texture. It also allows us to blend various colours of paint into one coating, achieving huge colour variety, as well as the very natural appearance of weathered metal.

ThermoBond is a special PVDF powder coating that gives metal roofing systems a naturally weathered and textured look. And, because they use the same chemistry as our Kynar 500® and Hylar 5000® coatings, ThermoBond finishes are unmatched for durability including fade and chalk resistance.

The ThermoBond Process

We produce our top quality metal roofing products according to our normal precise standards using our Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000® finish. Then, after the panels are formed, the ThermoBond finish is applied as an electrostatic powder.

The finish is baked on and, at approximately 450 degrees Fahrenheit, the powder chemically cross-links with the initial baked-on coating to achieve unmatched paint adhesion and durability – try to scratch it for yourself and see!

Because of our unique process, your ThermoBond- coated roof will have a variety of light and dark nuances, all to achieve the random beauty of a roof that has weathered and aged beautifully for many years. But, because it is PVDF paint technology, ThermoBond lasts and protects with no maintenance.
